FINAL PROJECTS IN MA TESL PROGRAM
In the course, Teaching English as a Second Language (APLNG 493), I designed a one-week English training course containing six lessons for international students who are going to have a part-time job at HUB-Robeson Center in the Penn State University. The objective of this course is to help them improve English communicative skills at a workplace.
In the course, Teaching American English Pronunciation (APLNG 410), I developed a course for Chinese college students to prepare well for the College English Test - Spoken English Test (CET-SET). This course generally aims to improve students' English pronunciation.
From the two projects, I have learned to select the right instructional materials that can fit students' levels as well as meet their needs.
